This page describes what this website actually does with your information. It is written from the site as built, not from a template, and it will be updated as the site changes.

Who we are

What this site collects on its own

Nothing. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising tags. There is no account system and no login. We do not build a profile of you and we have no way to recognise you between visits.

The mailing-list form

There is a form on the home page that invites you to join a mailing list. It is not connected yet. If you type an email address into it today, that address is not transmitted anywhere and is not stored — the page simply tells you the list is not open.

When that form is connected, this page will be updated before it goes live to say exactly what is stored, where, and for how long. We would rather say "not yet" than describe a system that does not exist.

If and when you buy something

Payments are handled entirely by Stripe, on Stripe's own checkout pages.

• Your card details never touch this website. They are entered on Stripe's pages, sent to Stripe, and we never see or store them at any point.
• To fulfil an order we receive from Stripe what is needed to send you a hat: your name, email address, shipping address, what you bought and what you paid.
• Stripe processes that payment as its own data controller. Stripe's privacy policy governs what it does with the information you give it: stripe.com/privacy.

One thing worth knowing about fonts

This page loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. That means your browser makes a request to Google's servers, and Google receives your IP address and basic browser information as part of it. We do not receive that information and we do not use it. It is disclosed because it is a real transfer to a third party, and most sites do not mention it.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the network requests needed to deliver the page to you.

Your information, and what you can ask for

Because we currently hold nothing collected through this website, there is at present nothing for us to show you, correct or delete. Once you have placed an order, you can ask us for a copy of the order information we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it for tax or accounting reasons. Write to the address above.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

When what the site does changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves. We do not describe things the site is planning to do.
